Overview
EduForge is an AI-powered learning management system built for two audiences: students who enrol and learn, and instructors who build and manage courses.
Architecture — a Next.js frontend (shadcn/ui + Framer Motion, mobile-first dark UI) talking to a FastAPI + SQLAlchemy backend with model-structured password login, Neon PostgreSQL, and Gmail SMTP for emails.
Roles — JWT auth feeds role-based dashboards. Instructors create courses; students browse, view and enrol — with an email confirmation sent on enrolment.
AI tutor — a floating Gemini chat bubble answers student questions through the /ai/chat endpoint, and the flow is certificate-ready, meaning courses can mark completion.
